Local LA Favorite | Ring Baked Tofu Donuts
While on my usual hunt for local dining establishments that offer a healthy gluten free menu, I came across Ring Baked Tofu Donuts.
As a habitual gluten free enthusiast who avoids gluten like the plague, I am always looking for food that fits my dietary needs while still being satisfying. Enter Ring Baked Tofu Donuts.
I found this place while searching Yelp on my mission to find gluten free donuts that didn’t require me cooking them myself.
Upon arrival I found that they are not only gluten free but also certified non-gmo and contained mostly organic ingredients. All their ingredients are listed at the front counter along with their source. I’ve never seen this at any other establishment which immediately sets itself apart from competitors.
The donuts have a spongy moist texture closer to cake than traditional donuts. They offer unique flavors, my personal favorite being the Uji kintoki (half match green tea half azuki – sweet red bean) For those with more traditional American taste I recommend the chocolate or maple bacon.
I’ve tried all their flavors and they’re all good so don’t be afraid to try your personal favorite or to venture out and try something new! They also offer ice coffee and matcha which goes perfectly with their donuts.
